MATERIALS & PROCESS

For custom work, all projects are first designed in small scale according to the clients' requirements.  Upon approval, the small sketch is converted into the large actual scale drawing.  The concept can be produced in any material required by its interior or exterior application.

Risen Christ  - Carved Solid Wood (Waterloo, ON CAN)

Seated Madonna & Child  - Cold Cast Bronze (Chicago, IL USA)

Mother Teresa  - Painted Wood Relief (London, ON CAN)

WOOD SCULPTURE

Wood carvings can be produced in any wood type and scale, relief or full round.  Sections are glued together with waterproof epoxy laminates from which the 'figure within' is eventually released.  Extremely fine detail is achieved.  Wood sculptures are more suitable for interior applications.

FIBERGLASS

Fiberglass sculptures and products are especially well suited for interior and exterior applications as they can withstand extreme weather changes.  The fiberglass process usually involves the creation of a 'master' 3 dimensional design, from which a mold is created and a resultant cast is made.  A wide variety of finishes are available.  The fiberglass building methods are hand done ensuring technical quality which will last for many years.  Any scale and fine detail can be produced.

PAINTING & MIXED MEDIA

As with all the different medias, painting on any scale starts with a concept design sketch.  The concept can be painted directly onto prepared walls or on a variety of other materials such as canvas or hardboard in acrylics, egg tempera or oil.

BRONZE

The bronze process involves the creation of a 'master' from which a mold is made involving either a sand molding technique or the lost wax molding process.  Molten bronze is poured into the mold.  The resultant cast can duplicate extremely fine detail in any scale and can be completed with a wide variety of patina finishes.
